Yes, the reflectivity is outstanding. However, Proviz has skimped on some important parts: namely, the zippers. The zippers on this garment feel like the lowest grade plastic zippers available on the cheapest knock off clothes at the low end 金五星百货批发城 discount market I used to shop at while a poor college student in Beijing. Yes, this is a first world problem, but it is so frustrating to struggle to get the zipper to catch or release while taking this kit on and off, the aggregate stress incurred from wearing this and paying $100 for it might just equal a tap or two from a car here in downtown Chicago. More annoying, when riding, trying to adjust the zipper one-handed is a fruitless affair, unlike other kit I use (Canari, Sugoi). Dear Proviz, spend that extra dollar on a decent zipper. Don't be such a cheapskate company.Oh yeah, and this garment smelled like more chemicals than a brand new foam mattress or a sharpie below your nose.As for the fit, my measurements are at the top end of the small size listed on their website. I ordered a small, and it was a close fit around the shoulders, but quite baggy around the sides. A bit funky, just like the smell.I first saw a proviz jacket on another cyclist and asked about the brand. I finally bought this vest on sale to wear commuting around the city. It's great because it has the highly reflective proviz shell for low light situations, but also reversible with a bright neon side as well for daytime riding. Fits to size and well made. This cycling vest is an excellent tool for all cyclist. This vest is very good for night and day riding!+1 star for a great idea! Using 100% bright yellow in daylight and 100% bright reflectant at night - sounds like a cool idea.+1 star for actually working! It's super bright and one can easily switch back and forth.but after this, no more stars:- the material (at least the reflective) doesn't breath at all. Even on ice cold days, my back is completely wet from sweat. This is probably the reason why the big manufacturers haven't done a jacket like this; there are just no reflective yet breathable materials available.- the zippers are crap. really, for such an expensive vest i would expect more- the fit is too large and it is just off. i don't know how to better describe it. it's tight around my arms but lose on the shoulders and waste.if i hadn't used it that much i would immediately return it.Bought this for my husband who is an avid cyclist and he loves it! Very reflective! This vest is very reflective and seen from a distance. I get stopped frequently in the dark morning by motorists saying how well I can be seen and asking where I bought it. The zipper is a bit flimsy but otherwise very happy with this purchase.Love my vest!! Very visible on either side!! Great for my runs with my dog.Proviz is great for that extra visibility in low or poor light conditions. In the dark, when light catches it, it's just down right outstanding!Fantastic HI VIS, this is the second one that I have bought, because it makes you highly visible on the road day or night. The pockets that are built in are extremely useful, I have put my glasses in them and they did not get all fogged up, as with other kit that I have worn. The reflective coating does degrade and some of the surface text does fall off, but it has lasted over a year, and I use it several times a week, making it unfortunately wet from sweat every time, I do wash it out lightly with plain water, because all HI VIS loose their reflective coating over time. You see the tiny glass balls coming away in the water which is unfortunate, but inevitable. So I hope they will continue to make them for years to come, because If they do I will continue to buy them.I saw this gilet recommended in a cycling video. In real life it is as effective as shown in the video - the hi-viz yellow is certainly hi-viz - reassuringly so. The reflective surface certainly glows when light catches it.Each side of the gilet has a breast pocket and a back zipped pocket. It's lightweight and easily stowed. I give it 5 starts for functionality.I bought mine from Amazon, at quite a heavy discount. As good as the garment might be, I can't help but think that the fill price would have been really too steep.Absolutely love this. Reversible to use as a standard black gilet, or in the highly reflective option that keeps you visible and safe if used after dusk.BrillIant gear. Ive own the switch gilet for summer months and full switch jacket for winter.Ideal for commuters who travel both in the dark and daylight.Great for visibility. Very disappointing the collar stitching has failed at the seam under the weight of a phone in the breast pocket. I expected better at this price point.
