Description
The FAMCO ADC Motorized Damper is normally closed with a power open and spring return motor assemly. The ADC are made with either 24 volt or 120 volt motors. End switches are available with all models. End switches allow another appliance to be operated when the damper has reached its full power position (either open or closed). The floating motor mount assures proper alignment of motor, shaft and damper to prevent binding, while the clutch/coupler reduces the number of moving parts for greater service life. All units without the end switch come with a flow control adjustment so that the damper blade can be blocked from opening or closing 100%. Quality constructed in 28 gauge Galvanized Steel. (Note: The end switch will not work if the flow control adjustment is preventing the damper from reaching its full powered position). Rated -20 to 160 degrees F.

Motor failed after 4 months. During this time, it might have in use for 40 hours. I contacted the vendor (FAMCO), their customer support is a model of how customer support should operate. They are sending me a replacement unit, under warranty, it should ship in the next 3 days. Random failures do occur, what's important is that the vendor stands behind their warranty, and it looks like FAMCO is doing just that. As far a functioning goes, when it worked, it worked quite well.
